About Slovo
Slovo is an amateur word processor project, created as a hobby tool for learning and experimenting with document editing. Its goal is to provide basic editing in a transparent manner, though far from the standards of commercial office software. The program is available in versions for AROS, AmigaOS3, AmigaOS4 and MorphOS.
Features
Currently, the program includes the following features:
Text Editing: Basic content entry and modification within a document.
Text Formatting: Ability to change font styles (bold, italics) and manage line spacing for individual paragraphs.
Lists: Automatic handling of bulleted and numbered lists with style inheritance across subsequent paragraphs.
Working with Graphics: Ability to embed images in text with the option to manually scale them (logical pixels).
Margin Management: Basic workspace configuration using an interactive ruler.
Document Handling: Standard editing operations, including an undo mechanism (Undo).
What to Expect?
Slovo is an early-stage project. This means:
Stability: The program is not bug-free. Users may encounter unexpected cursor behavior, problems parsing formatting tags, or sporadic errors during file operations.
Characteristics: This is a "laboratory" tool – features are implemented based on the author's capabilities and needs.
Limitations: The editor does not offer advanced typesetting features, full support for external formats, or the optimizations typical of professional word processors.
The program is provided "as is." If you choose to use it, you do so at your own risk, and any bug reports are welcome as valuable lessons for the project's further development.
